Words are sharper than swords

We heard that statement more than once. This morning something pinched me softly and brought about an understanding that I never (?) realized before.

People live in an agreed perception rather than in reality.
We agreed that one sheet of paper is valued 1000 rupiah, 1 dollar, etc. We can not just bring any plain sheet of paper to any shop and buy things, for we did not agree that one plain paper was valued at certain level.

People looked up each other’s attire; their ranks, level of education, their designation, but not people as humans.

Agreement came about after long discussions. Discussions were held only after words had been created. Words.

People use words to pass on the message they have in mind. Neutral, indeed it is. Words can also be used as offensive means and defensive means. Wow…. Don’t you get it??? I hate it when my words fail me to pass on this new enlightenment…..
