Let there be light...!

What are we without light? Some people will say, well, demon, if not Satan himself. Don’t get it? See; people who are on the right track are often dubbed “enlightened” while the rest are “veiled with darkness” or “be with the darkside”. Okej, now you can see my point.

Now, children, sit back and listen. What is the main source of energy, or in this case light? The sun! Correct. With its precise present position away from Earth, sun avoids scorching earth with its heat or leaves earth frozen without it. Energy from the sun’s light generates lives. What else do we need instead of life? Nothing? Who said that?? We need beauty following the fulfillment of our principal needs. Thus, heavenly bodies are there to quench our thirsty eyes; moon, stars, and planets. Those twinkling objects emblazon perfect splendor at nighttimes, till the end of time. But, what we see in them are lights themselves. Sun is, indeed, a star, while planets and moon reflect light from the sun itself.

So, where am I? Let’s get back to light. Seems that humans are so addicted to light that they even try and manage to create other source of light; then come fire and electricity. From these inventions, all wonders happen right before human eyes, wonders that humans 4 millennia ago did not even see in their dreams.

I think no one can stay living (in the right path, some people say) without light. How about at night? Well, darkness at night comes not from the absence of sun, rather it happens for the earth is turning it’s back, therefore we can see it, but sun never leaves its place. Instead, people can only see moon and her friends. So, Let there be light…!

Welcome Ramadhan

Welcome Holy Month, here, Al Qur'an was first introduced to mankind.
More than 85% Indonesians are moslems, at least by ID. And moslems fast. Fasting are supposed to restrain a person from earthly drive, at least one month in a year, like from hunger, thirst, sexual drive, anger, etc.etc., the point is restraining.
Paradoxally in my beloved country, Ramadhan is a month where consumption spending is higher than any other month, thus supporting the country's already high inflation rate. Seems that people are fasting from dawn to dusk only to unleash those drives afterward.
