Tips and tricks
In earlier posting I wrote about tricks, ones that I would share and perform by the virtue of airwave, by that I meant magic show in radio station. Well, to keep my "magical spirit" up I will, again, share something that relates to tricks. This is simple thing but yet very significant. It's about how to make your children sleep.
It is simple thing, as everybody knows that children, whether THEY want it or not, whether WE want them to or not, will eventually sleep at night, so there shouldn't be much problem. Significant, because our presence besides them is important. It may make them (feel) safe, it makes us calm (to be sure that our children is soundly sleeping), in short, it makes everyone happy. Well, I believe it's kind of rule of thumb.
So, why talking about things that is as certain as babies wetting their pants? Because.
Making my children sleep is not a piece of cake for, well, rookies. It requires patience, it needs extra time, it needs mental and physical fitness. See? It's not that simple. There are specific ritual that one needs to endure before my children kiss their days off:
- One, having milk (one glass for each, with or maybe without cut/uncut straw)
- Two, brushing their tiny teeth (a glass of water with respective toothbrush on top, never mixed them up or they will talk about your "carelesness" whole night before they close their eyes, and a possibility of hearing about the incident weeks later)
- Three, story telling (previously they wanted one story for each girl every night, after days of prolonged negotiations we settled for one story only for one night and they decides who picks the story)
- Four, one sip of water before lying down (each one, sometimes it happens after WE lie down, so I have to get up and fetch the water, I managed to make my effort simpler by installing small rack to the bed)
- Five, praying (such angels, no fuss in this part)
- Six till fade (scratching some backs, or limbs, caused by mosquitos' bites)
Even writing about it makes me tired....
What do you think? Complicated? not so. Try to do that when you feel dead sleepy, THEN you will start to value the word "rest".
So far I just have to get away with 3 daughters, let's wait for 2 years and we'll hear about our renewed rituals after Baby Amira joins her daughters. Let's pray for my ever present patience, health, and time....

Dear, you should add the point that your beloved Queen Bee is closing the door that separates your daily struggle with her sanctuary and keep busy with baby Amira - pusposedly chosing for one baby instead of the complication of 3 daughters. And more often than not, dosing off way before your daily battle even starts. Evil Mom indeed!
