I am happy
I am happy. Aside from unfinished business and “unfinished business” that revolve around my life that must be resolved one day, I have a privilege of feeling that contention last night. It happened for a very short span of time, seconds. But, I felt it. I even shouted it last night; a shout that made Hikmat dynasty turned their heads in question (one large heads, three medium ones, and one tiny head).
For a point in time, I must confess, I am happy. It happened last night, I was lying on the side of my bed, all my four daughters – two of them just started their first day at elementary school in the morning – are talking to each other, oblivious to my presence. Their mother watching from another side of the bed.
The twins just made their first day in elementary school. I took picture of them with my simple cell phone, I asked their mother to do the same with her more complicated one. What a glorious day. They woke very early; I wonder whether they really took a good sleep previous night. I missed their eldest sister’s first day of school four years ago. I managed to see the twins off. I even went to their school to see their first smile in school. Glory day, indeed.
I am happy.
