New Project

New project

Following the signing of Loan Agreement between the project owner and a bank on 8 January 2008 (080108, nice number isn’t it?), the Hikmats will, by the Grace of God the Most Gracious, own its own dwelling by the end of the year. The building won’t be as spacious as Le Louvre and the land won’t be as vast as a football field, but it’s a home. The progress? Well, take a look at the picture taken last Saturday, 19 January 2008 after three days work.

Dear browser, your prayers and blessings for the project are welcome wholeheartedly.

Separation = sad?

This question is nagging me lately: Why a person feels sad when they are separated from someone else?Let me show you some of the facts:

When a person is “attached” to someone else and suddenly one of them leaves then another one who is left behind will feel sad. I once saw a father wept for his deceased one day old baby. He was crying as hard as a father who told a story about his 21 year old soldier son who died 5 years earlier, an elderly man was seen weeping for his departing sister. Can we say TIME, then, the factor?

How about BLOOD then? If a man was frustrated over his friends departure abroad as deeply as a woman who was left behind by her sisters flight, then certainly the red blood is not an issue.

Thus, SEX is up for scratch out, too. (what I meant was sex as in type, not activity, we’ll see about the latter later) Man, woman, male, female, they cried as loud when separated from someone else.

AGE is a possibility, but my baby daughter was crying like hell when she saw me off for office one day the way a newly-widowed neighbor.

Aahh… maybe the KNOT. Marriage? Well, a lot of us seen widows and widowers were heart-broken as bad as a pair of love birds who got separated after one month of affair.

Then maybe SEX, anyone? Well, it might as well be true. Sex (as in activity) in many cases strengthens the bond between a pair. But it is not a sole factor, as appear in instances above.

Let’s move from feeling to ratio. BUSINESS or interest relations. Yep, you got it right. A person - who is dependant to someone else who is leaving – will get distressed as bad as a master whose client (who is dependent to him) is away, remember Bruce Wayne and his old butler Alfred?

And the answer is….

You might say simply the combination of those mentioned above. But what if one or more of the factors above were absent? Or another factor or two come forward? That means each of the factors is the cause OR combination of all or combination of some of them OR addition from alien factor OR …. (please, be my guest to continue, I am enjoying my sadness over a lost being)
